Favorite Online Game

My favorite online game would have to be Solipskier.  Its basically a character skiing across the screen on slopes drawn by the player.  The point of the game is to score points and you do this by skiing through hoops and doing tricks.  It is a very addicting game that will have you playing for hours.  It doesn't really compare to my game that I'm designing. Over break I spent a lot of time playing video games.

For my Globaloria Game, I will be designing a game that involves diving to the deep, dark depths of the ocean to explore the many forms of life that live there. My game will also involve avoiding the dangers that come with exploring the depths of the ocean. Choosing your own character will also be a part of my game. It will teach the player about all the many species that live in the ocean and how to avoid the dangers that come with exploring the ocean.

I'm most excited to make little children happy from playing our game.

     My name is Aaron Corley, and I've recently started our school's new Globaloria class. This blog is here to introduce me and my game topic.  I want to make my game on fish living under the water. If you visit these links you will understand how tremendously helpful they will be for making a game on the topic I've chosen.

Game Genre's

I'm interested in using the Adventure genre for my game.  I think a lot could be learned from an adventurous side-scroller.  I seem to have learned the most from the adventure games I've played.  Hopefully, I can help others learn a lot from my adventure game.

Success

     How can I be successful in Globaloria?  There are many ways to answer this question.  First and foremost, you have to stay focused.  Its easy to get distracted with the World Wide Web at your fingertips.  You must keep your objectives in sight and finish them in a timely manner.
     Another way to have success in Globaloria is to always be learning.  Something should be learned from everything that is done in this class.  If you pick something up from all of the different tasks accomplished you'll be in great shape.
     Also, being good with computers is extremely helpful.  If you don't know a kilobyte from a megabyte you may be in some trouble.  Overall, it is easy to be successful in a Globaloria class.  You just have to stay focused and work hard.

Staying Safe on the Internet

As we all know, the Internet is a dangerous place. It's full of forty year old guys looking to find a victim. It is very easy to stay away from these creepers as long as you follow a few simple rules. Don't post personal info such as your last name, phone number, address, email, or even your IM screen name. You may notice that some of that information of mine is on my blog, but its okay. I am a black belt in every fighting style known to man, so I think I'll be okay.

What I expect from Globaloria.

This year I started taking Globaloria. From what I hear, after I have completed this class I will have the qualifications to work at a top rated gaming company such as Infinity Ward or Treyarch. I am very excited about this and I'm glad I signed up for this class. I'm looking forward to my future after Globaloria; look out world!
